What are White Certificates?

  • Energy efficiency certificates, i.e. White Certificates, are used to confirm that a project has been implemented for the end user and provides a set reduction in energy consumption.
  • Energy efficiency certificates are a type of “financial bonus”, as they involve reimbursing part of the costs incurred for investments in energy efficiency improvements.
  • White certificates are property rights based on energy efficiency certificates and, as such, are traded on the Polish Power Exchange (TGE). They are issued by the President of the Energy Regulatory Office (URE). According to the Act, applications for the issuance of White Certificates need to be submitted at the planning stage before work starts, i.e. before a contract for their implementation is signed or equipment is purchased.

White Certificates in the OptiGO! System.

The OptiGO! system is aligned with the goals of the Energy Efficiency Act. We ensure comprehensive assistance in obtaining supplementary funds for planned activities that are aimed at improving the energy efficiency of a building, such as an upgrade of the building together with its systems and devices. White Certificates, which confirm reduced energy consumption, are one of the solutions.
